Part II of the TV Original Soundtrack BGM Collection series, recorded for the fourth and final season of "Lupin The 3rd" animated serie broadcast between 1979-1980. This compilation includes new recordings of the previous tracks composed for the first season from 1977 to 1978 (Midnight Chasers & Active Guys), unreleased & alternative takes (The Memory Of Mysterious Journey). Various songs were extracted for background music recorded for the "Cagliostro No Shiro" movie (1979), later gathered in two compilations released in 1983 & 1994. First of five serie records of the Lupin The 3rd Original Soundtrack released between 1978 to 1981, performed by Yuji Ohno who formed, for the nonce, his new Jazz Funk group called "You & The Explosion Band" supported by a strings ensemble conducted by Minoru Suzuki (The Suzuki Group), and guests singers Sandi A. Hohn & Tommy Snyder from japanese pop band GODIEGO. Titles include the popular opening and ending themes from the first season, "I Miss You Babe, (Yes I Do)" feat. Sandi A. Hohn, "Dangerous Zone" (also extracted from original soundtrack of Lupin VS Mamo 1978 movie), "Lovin' You (Lucky)" feat. Tommy Snyder. The original score of the first Lupin The 3rd TV serie broadcast from 1971 to 1972, composed by pianist Takeo Yamashita and revisited by himself. Based on the original master tapes, the album includes new recordings featuring flutist Minoru Muraoka and singer Charlie Kosei, frontman of japanese short-lived psychedelic rock band "The Helpful Soul". Titles include the classic opening and ending themes starring Charlie Kosei, killer grooves "Afro Rock Theme", "Disco Plays Lupin", "Rock Theme No.1", scat songs "Afro 'Lupin '68'", "Nice Guy Lupin-Two Beat", "Scat Theme" and brazilian tunes "Samba Crazy", "Medium/Slow Samba". First of three volumes from 'Punch The Monkey!', the remixes compilation series that celebrates the 30th anniversary of Lupin The 3rd created in 1967 by  Kazuhiko Katô alias Monkey Punch. Supervised by Konishi Yasuharu, the project was released for his own label Readymade Records from Nippon Columbia, best known as producer, composer, DJ & leader of japanese pop band Pizzicato Five. Joined to the project, various artists from japanese electronic scene featuring remixes by Fantastic Plastic Machine, japanese-french Nu-Jazz duo U.F.O. (United Future Organization), Fuzita Blender and of course, Konishi Yasuharu. One of the finest Yuji Ohno productions from the last years, celebrating the 30th anniversary of the "Lupin The 3rd Part II" serie TV birth, in a 19th annual Lupin TV Special broadcast episode. Yuji Ohno & his young new group "Lupintic Five", formed in 2006, perform crossover jazz in the same approach as the CTI recordings from the seventies, including beautiful arrangements for strings, Funk/Soul elements (Opus 4, 5 & 8), Smooth Jazz (Iseka's Theme, Elusive Memory At The Kiritappu) and Cool Jazz (Opus 3, La Valse Froide). The band is also supported by various guests musicians featuring flutist Masami Nakagawa, former member of the Masahiko Togashi Quartet & the Gil Evans Orchestra, Kiyoshi Yoshida (synthesizer), Hajime Ueshiba (whistle), Tatuya Nishiwaki (harmonica) and J-Pop songstress Miki Imai on "Love Theme" song.
