Chlorine Free is a french jazz funk collective based in Paris who explores electronic worlds and programming in Jazz. The music of Chlorine Free can be defined as the meeting between their various influences from A Tribe Called Quest passing by The Headhunters, mixing broken beat, experimental music, funk/soul, conscious hip-hop & electronic avant-garde. From 2011 to 2017, the band collaborated with various talented artists such as MCs Rashaan Ahmad, Mike Ladd from The Infesticons & Racecar or british saxophonist Soweto Kinch. "Le Fish" is their second album after "Star Fresh" released in 2011 and before "Free Speech" in 2017, including instrumental titles and featurings with Soweto Kinch (Natural Blend), Nya (Thankful) & Yan Cléry (One Shot).

Sound President Odion Iruoje - Down To Earth

An insane self-produced album by a renowned nigerian producer, Odion Iruoje, originally released on his own label Odion Ltd and featuring, among other, Akin Yuba (music direction) and Tunde Williams (horns) from the Africa '70. The man behinds some sound materials of Fela Kuti albums, recorded during the 1970-1973 period, produced a musical U.F.O., mixing Boogie (Love Care), Zulu rap (Identify With Your Root), Afro-funk (Ikebe) & Juju music, adding digital sound effects and drum machines, all creating an hypnotic music which drives us, not so far of a transe state.  Odion was an influential actor of the Nigerian Afro Funk scene active during the seventies and the eighties, working for EMI, he signed Fela and brings back into his fold, many nigerian funk band including Ofege. Titles includes also the catchy song "Anogo / Giri" & the electronic disco tune "Aro Affair (Crazy Scene)". Samurai Champloo Music Record by Be Hard Bop ~ The Sons Of A Battlecry



"Samurai Champloo" is one of the best japanese animated serie broadcast in the 2000s on TV screens, directed by Shinichiro Watanabe (also director of famous "Cowboy Bebop" serie), produced by the Studio Manglobe for FUJI TV in 2004. In order to create the perfect soundscape, the studio recruited some of the finest japanese producers & beatmakers featuring Nujabes, the electronic duo "FORCE OF NATURE" (KZA & DJ Kent), Tsutchie (former member of Shakkazombie) and Fat Jon from the american Hip-Hop band "Five Deez" including japanese rappers Shing02 (in charge of the opening), Suiken & S-Word from Nitro Microphone Underground and Azuma Riki from Small Circle Of Friends. Four volumes have been released to date plus one compilation especially produced for US. Compiled & mixed by Be Hard Bop.

Beck - Odelay

"Odelay" is the fifth studio album by american alternative rock artist, the multi-skilled Beck Hansen. The album operates a new musical twist by recruiting the american producers and DJs, the Dust Brothers. It results an iconic masterpiece often compared to the Beastie Boys' "Paul's Boutique" album released in 1989 and also produced by the Dust Brothers. The duo uses various samples from Soul to Rock including Pretty Purdie, James Brown, MC5, Lee Dorsey, Sly & The Family Stone or Rory Gallagher, contributing to create a musical patchwork. Nujabes by Be Hard Bop ~ Jun Seba Is Nujabes



Nujabes (1974-2010), one of Jazzy Hip-Hop representatives, was a japanese beatmaker, producer & owner of independant record label Hyde Out Recordings. Best known for his collaboration to the "Samurai Champloo" soundscape in 2004 (alongside Fat Jon, FORCE OF NATURE & TSUTCHIE), he frequently worked for various worldwide artists, as Apani B, Funky DL, CL Smooth, Substantial, Cise Starr from CYNE, Terry Callier or Pase Rock from Five Deez. This compilation brings together some of his finest productions released between 1998-2011, demonstrating his various musical abilities including Jazz & Soul samples, Downtempo, Cool & Nu-Jazz. Chris Joss - You've Been Spiked

Chris Joss is a french self-taught multi-instrumentalist and studio producer. In 1999, Chris Joss released his first album "The Man With A Suitcase", an imaginary soundtrack of fictional 60's TV series, whose the title-track was used in the movie trailer of Ocean's 13. "You've Been Spiked" recreates the typical sound of the seventies, served by Wah-Wah guitars and groovy sound from Hammond Organ & Fender Rhodes. This is translates by an Acid Jazz style including Soul Jazz (Drink Me Hot), Disco beats (A Part In That Show), Heavy Funk (Wrong Alley Street Part 3), mixed with Breakbeat (Early Morning Wanderings) & cinematic atmosphere (Riviera 69, Waves Of Love).
