Iconic french music library record from the Chappell sessions, among the best of the serie, performed by french trumpeter & conductor, Pierre Dutour. In the early sixties, Pierre Dutour joined the "Jeunesses Musicales De France" conducted by Claude Bolling and later was enrolled by him in his sextet, he was also a regular sideman for french singer Nino Ferrer and worked for various french entertainers. Associated to his stooge, Jack Arel, for composing, he participated to various Chappell sessions recordings, but not only, the French Music Library labels "Patchwork" & "Telemusic" bear likewise his signature. Titles include "Tracking" (the reminiscent of Blaxploitation soundtracks), the furious jerk "Following You", the killer groove "Business Is Business" and "Leaving To-Morrow" sampled by Howie B. for the song "Switch" (extracted from "Turn The Dark Off" released in 1997). Pop-Jazz album including scat songs with strings ensemble conducted & performed by Michel Legrand Et Son Orchestre featuring Elek Bacsik, famous guitarist on Serge Gainsbourg's "Confidentiel" album released the previous year. This iconic album is returned to the light in 1996, thanks to the track "Di-Gue-Ding-Ding" which was selected for the easy-listening compilation "Inflight Entertainment". The french maestro pianist who enrolled Miles Davis, Bill Evans & John Coltrane for his legendary album "Legrand Jazz" recorded in 1958, was arranger for Maurice Chevalier, Dizzy Gillespie, Stan Getz. But Legrand is best known as composer of over 100 films music and television (The Thomas Crown Affair, Summer 42, Never Say Never Again...), popular among french filmmakers from the New Wave, in particular, Jean-Luc Godard, Jacques Demy, Agnès Varda, Chris Marker or Claude Chabrol. Titles include only compositions by Michel Legrand except Orange Blossom Special by Ervin T. Rouse.

Iconic soundtrack recorded for the 1967 movie "Tu Seras Terriblement Gentille" (aka "You Only Love Once"), directed by Dirk Sanders. Jacques Loussier is a french pianist & composer worldwide renowned for his ''Play Bach'' series, an adaptation of the music of Johann Sebastian Bach in Jazz, consisting in five discs recorded between 1959-1967, featuring bassist Pierre Michelot and drummer Christian Garros. Master Loussier has composed over 60 soundtracks for films and TV shows including "Dark Of The Sun" (1968) and "Pulsion" (1978) whose title-track was sampled by Eminem on "Kill You" (2000). The soundtrack combines Jazz, Pop (check below the amazing jerk "Top Cover Girl"), Bossa Nova (Promenade Au Luxembourg, Robe Rose), Soul Jazz and various electronic moods (Ballet Photo Rouge). Originally released on iconic french music library label "Montparnasse 2000", "Chorus" is a kind of pot-pourri including pop ballads and jazz to the psychedelic expressions with only onomatopoeia singing featuring some musicians and singers from Broadway rock musical "Hair". "Chorus" was first reissued by Dare Dare records (sub-label of the Pulp Flavor recordings) in 2001 and more recently by Underdog Records in 2016. All tracks recorded at studio Barclay produced by Louis Delacour (co-founder alongside André Farry of Montparnasse 2000), composed & arranged by Janko Nilovic. Titles includes the funky "Third Power" and the braziliance "Hommage À Pelé (Brasiliana)".

Ultimate rare French groove from label Vogue recorded by Jean-Claude Pelletier, a french pianist and arranger who played alongside trumpeter Bill Coleman, clarinetists Claude Luter, Sidney Bechet and was sideman for vibraphonist Lionel Hampton. "Streaking !" is a pure western jazz funk album recorded after a stay in California with deep soul grooves & funky beats, including the killer tunes cut for dancefloor "Dangerous For Your Health", "Special Streaking", "No Tax For Streakers" & "Nudes And Marines", the Samba Funk "To Streak With Devil" and  reminicent of Blaxploitation soundtrack "Hey Doc ! Big-Band Jazz masterpiece of Janko Nilovic composed in the Jazz Rock style, performed by a great orchestra featuring violinist Catherine Lara, drummer André Ceccarelli, percussionist Jean Schultheis and including some singers from Broadway rock musical "Hair". Janko Nilovic is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger & conductor from France. As eminent producer of Montparnasse 2000 (a french music library label), he composed numerous soundcapes for TV documentaries. As pianist/composer, he worked with Davy Jones (founder member of The Monkees) for a singles serie recorded between 1967-1969, and was an arranger in demand for french artists such as Michel Jonasz. All tracks composed by Janko Nilovic, except "Giant Locomotion" by Jean-Pierre Alarcen. Originally released as "Giant" in 1972, "Rythmes Contemporains" was edited in 1974 by Montparnasse 2000 Editions with additional bonus track "The Savage Rose".
