The short-lived band "Assim Assado" was an attempt by a small label to ride on the success of the Brazilian progressive rock group "Secos & Molhados". The band is led by Miguel de Deus (former member of Os Brazões) who signed all the compositions, plays guitar and singing, supported by Darcio Mario Ract (eb), Marciana (vo, eg) and Albino Infantozzi (ds). More than influenced by "Secos & Molhados", they even took name of the eponymous song, and the front cover is a wink of their first album. "Assim Assado" performes a mixture of psychedelic rock and Samba Soul (Viva Crioula, Morena, Sol Amarelocinza) including heavy metal (Na Boca Da Estrada, Lunatica Marciana). Titles include also the rock-waltz "Sombras" and two  reminiscent songs of the Tropicália musical movement ("Sol, Sal, Sol Tropical" and "Pesçados").

Miguel De Deus - Black Soul Brothers

Portugese reissue of the first solo album of brazilian guitarist Miguel De Deus, originally released in 1977 on Underground, subsidiary of Copacabana label. Miguel De Deus was the founding member of the latin rock group "Os Brazões" which accompagnied Gal Costa on stage & Tom Zé on the Grande Liquidação album in 1968. With "Os Mutantes", the band was emblematic of brazilian psychedelic rock scene in the late sixties. In the mid seventies, Miguel De Deus oriented his music to the Funk style, becoming a initiator of the Afro-Funk movement later called "Black Rio", strongly inspired by James Brown & the Black Power spirit. Recorded in São Paulo, at the Reunido Studio, "Black Soul Brothers" includes the title-track reissued by Mr. Bongo in 2014, "Cinco Anos", "Mister Funk" and "Flata Louca" from "Black Soul Brothers" EP released on Copacabana records.

Os Brazões - Os Brazões

"Os Brazões" self-titled album was originally released on RGE Discos in 1969, the unique record of the psychedelic group formed in Rio De Janeiro in the late sixties. Lead by guitarist/singer Miguel De Deus (the frontman of Black Rio movement) featuring Eduardo 'Edu' Rocha (ds) & Mandrake Som (perc), the band started as backing band for Gal Costa and Tom Zé during the early days of Tropicália period. As their countrymen "Os Mutantes", the iconic psychedelic group from São Paulo, "Os Brazões" produced a masterpiece of Latin Rock with North American influences fusing elements from Samba to Funk/Soul & Acid Rock. Titles includes cover songs from Gilberto Gil ("Pega A Voga Cabeludo", "Volksvolkswagen Blue"), Jorge Ben/Toquinho ("Carolina, Carol Bela", "Que Maravilha") or Tom Zé (Feitiço), instrumental by Brazilian Octopus (Momento B/8) and their well-known song "Gotham City". 

Tom Zé - Grande Liquidação

The "Grande Liquidação" is the first testimony from one of the greatest talent coming from the Sao Paulo scene, a protest album including sharp criticism of the post-industrial Brazilian era and the consommation society. Tom Zé is an iconic figure of the Tropicália movement alongside Caetano Veloso, Gal Costa, Gilberto Gil & Os Mutantes, the musical revolution that introduced electric guitars in Brazilian music. The movement was mostly influenced by the psychedelic rock including protest speech, provocative & satirical lyrics, breaking with the spirit of Bossa Nova. Tom Zé surrounded himself by two backing band whose the brazilian psychedelic rock band "Os Brazões". Titles include "São São Paulo" & "Gloria" featuring Os Brazões, Tropicália classic "Namorinho De Portão", "Sem Entrada E Sem Mais Nada", "Quero Sambar Meu Bem".
