The Procussions - Up All Night

Mr. J. Medeiros (rap),  Resonant (rap) and Stro The 89th Key (keyboards, drums, rap) form the american Hip-Hop group, The Procussions. "Up All Night" was recorded in a night jam session that combines jazz fusion including Fender Rhodes & spoken words, mixed by Jason Skills (from The Sound Providers). After they were signed to Rawkus Records, they released their second album "5 Sparows For 2 Cents" including featurings such as Talib Kweli on "Miss January" (2006) and recorded "It's All Real" on "Shattered Soul On A Pastel Sky", first album of Shin-Ski (2007). An enhanced limited edition was released the same year in japan with five bonus tracks whose the unreleased Life Of Brian and the fantastic Shin-Ski's remix of "Introducing... (What's Your Name?)" feat. DJ Ryow on turntables and one video clip directed by Brandon Kraines.

Dwayne Simmons is a rapper from Boston who started with his friend André Todman aka Insight in the Hip-Hop collective "Electric Company". He shared stage with KRS-1, Big Daddy Kane, Mobb Deep, Wycleff, Common and Cut Chemist from Jurassic 5. Dagha collaborated to numerous Insight's productions including the ShinSight Trio albums, while Insight did the same for "Object In Motion", in charge of production, mixing and scratches, alongside japanese DJ Real from Martiangang (cuts & scratches). Titles include featurings with Insight (8 Count, Skoolhouse Rock), Al-Jabra (Conquerors), Wanda aka Butter (Don't Start Nothing), and bonus tracks released only for Japan featuring Cloke (Whatever It May Be), Anonymous from Project Move (Hands Up), Insight (2 Solutions) plus "No Sheets (DJ Aquarela Remix)".

Apani Smith best known as Apani B Fly is a MC based in New-York, active since 1996, releasing her first single "Estragen" in 1996. In 1999, she released her first studio album within the Polyrhythm Addicts alongside rappers Corey Roberts, Marcus Vialva and producer DJ Spinna. Apani collaborated with Black Star (Talib Kweli & Mos Def), J. Rawls, japanese producers Nujabes and Shin-Ski or parisian Hip-Hop trio Jazz Liberatorz. "Story 2 Tell" is her debut solo album after eight-year career produced by DJ Spinna, DJ Crossfader, Celph Titled among others, including titles "Spot Me" featuring Sara Kana, "Airtight" feat. Chico's Son, Lee Boogalou & Sekou720, "Ichinisan" feat. Kojoe, "The Epidemic" feat. Jean Grae, "Abracadabra", "Stay Up" feat. Monet. "Airtight" contains a sample of "Them Belly Full (But We Hungry)" by Bob Marley & The Wailers.

Funky DL - Blackcurrent Jazz

Naphta Newman is a british rapper, producer and owner of Whashington Classics label. He released his debut album "Classic Was The Day" in 1997 and recorded various songs with the japanese Hip-Hop producer Nujabes for Hyde Out Productions, bringing him to regularly tour in Japan thereafter. His influences include De La Soul, A Tribe Called Quest, Pete Rock & CL Smooth, Gang Starr but also R&B artists, and performed opening acts for The Roots, Eminem or Destiny’s Child during their European tour. "Blackcurrent Jazz" is the meeting of Hip-Hop and Jazz with its interpolations, including the swing style, as evidenced the samples used by Newman in particular on "Confused?" or "Keeping It Classic". Titles include also featurings with Guile on "Wonderful", Sienna on "The Music") and "High Endurance" produced by DJ Parris. This album exists in enhanced edition including three bonus tracks especially released for Japan ("Turntables Hate Me", "It Still Rocks", "Long Remix").
