Recorded in 1976, "Marcos Resende & Index" should have been the first official album of the group, long before "Festa Para Um Novo Rei" released in 1978. However, it will remain unreleased for over 40 years before Far Out Recordings convinced Marcos to come it out from the darkness. Innovative musician using as well Fender Rhodes as various synthesizers like the Minimoog, mixing Jazz, Electronic music with Samba, he was a pianist session in demand in Brazil, collaborating to recordings of the legends Gilberto Gil, Chico Buarque, Edu Lobo or Gal Costa. In the early seventies, he formed the electronic progressive jazz group "Status", who opened shows for Stan Getz or Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers. He recorded the album featuring Rubão Sabino (eb), Claudio Caribé (ds), the great saxophonist Oberdan Magalhães from Banda Black Rio and the legendary Toninho Barbosa, sound engineer on "Light As A Feather" by Azymuth, "Previsão Do Tempo" by Marcos Valle and "Quem É Quem" by João Donato.
