"Primitive Community" (Genshi Kyodotai) is a collective especially formed for a mystical project out from the Yoshiaki Yokota's mind. In the same way of his previous project "Flute Adventure" by The Beat Generation, ranging from Free Jazz to Rock by Folk, it consists of a sophisticated avant-garde fusion, a kind of theatrical play speaking in ethnic music with African inspirations including psychedelia, hypnotic tribal percussions, fuzz guitar & acid organ. Titles include only originals compositions arranged by Yokota plus one cover of The Beatles ("Flying"). It features Toshiaki Yokota (indian, alto & bass flute), Shunzo Ohno (trumpet), Yusuke Hoguchi (Hammond organ), Kimio Koizumi (eb), Kimio Mizutani (eg), Chito Kawachi (ds), Tadaomi Anai, Larry Sunaga & Yoshinori Nohmi on percussions.

First volume of three compilation series including cover songs of western Pop hits & Rock 'N Roll standards recorded by Jimmy Takeuchi from the late 60's to early 70's, featuring The Beatles, Simon, & Garfunkel, The Ventures, Elvis Presley, Bill Halley among others. This compilation brings together various songs previously released on others Jimmy Takeuchi's albums of the "DRUM DRUM DRUM" Toshiba series, divided in four cover themes (one for each side) including "Hits Of The Ventures" on side A (SAMPLE), "Hits Of The Beatles" on side B (SAMPLE), "Hits Of Pop" on side C (SAMPLE) and at last, "Hits Of Rock 'N Roll" on side D (SAMPLE). Although not best as the originals, some tracks are definitely worth listening such as amazing variation of jazz standard "Caravan", "Come Together", the Shocking Blue's "Venus", "Be Bop A Lula" and a insane version of "Wipe Out" by The Surfaris. Original issue of "Tenshi No Yūwaku" from the Toshiba's "DRUM DRUM DRUM" series including the greatest hits of the japanese pop and GS rock genre (for Groups Sounds) out in 1968 and arranged by Kunihiko Suzuki. Titles include rock cover songs from The Tigers (Flower Necklace), The Tempters (Please, God), The Golden Cups (Girl With Long Hair), The Folk Crusaders (Unbearably Sad) or The Wild Ones (Bara No Koibito), the Suzuki's composition for Jun Mayuzumi (Angel Love), the Soul Jazz standard "Alligator Boogaloo" (Lou Donaldson), "Lady Madona" and "Pata Pata" (Miriam Makeba). Hidehiko Matsumoto - The First By Sleepy

"The First By Sleepy" recorded by legendary japanese saxophonist 'Sleepy' Matsumoto from the Big 4, keeping with the previous "The Big 4" album of George Kawaguchi (featuring Matsumoto), in which he composed most of the songs. Hidehiko plays in quintet including pianist Norio Kotani, bassist Yasuhisa Akutsu and drummer Takaaki Nishikawa who performs Cool Jazz (My Funny Valentine, Satin Doll), Bossa Nova (Tuesday Samba), Hard Bop and others jazz standards (Take Five, St. Thomas, Someone To Watch Over Me). "Tuesday Samba" is a variation of the "Monday Samba", both composed by Hidehiko Matsumoto and released on the previous Kawaguchi's album.

"Emergency" is a jazz funk album recorded by drummer Akira Ishikawa featuring his Count Buffalos band and the japanese Funk/Soul songstress Tan-Tan. As on "Get Up!", his previous album, "Emergency" was arranged by pianist Hiromasa 'Colgen' Suzuki & guitarist Takao Naoi, incorporating some disco-beats and including the same line-up with saxophonist Takeru Muraoka and keyboardist Hideo Ichikawa, among others. Hiromasa Suzuki composed the opening disco-funk "Yama-To-Mizu", while others titles include the "Drum Solo" performed by Akira Ishikawa, cover songs featuring Tan-Tan ("Don't Let Me Be Lonely Tonight" by James Taylor, "I've Never Found A Man" in the pure disco style by Esther Phillips) and the Galper Hal's "Phases".

Jun Fukamachi - Introducing Jun Fukamachi

"Introducing Jun Fukamachi" is a jazz funk album that showcases the Moog synthesizer featuring Rei Ohara (eb), Kenji Omura (eg), Ponta Murakami (ds) & Motoya Hamaguchi (perc). Jun Fukamachi is a japanese Jazz Fusion pianist, composer and pioneer of the synthesizer play. Indeed, mostly known for his use of various keyboards, Jun produces a particular atmosphere which seems "straight out from the future", a mix of electronic sounds tinted by heavy funk and electro-disco, his major signature during the seventies. In the late seventies, he invited the Brecker Brothers plus others american Jazz Fusion renowned musicians such as Lee Ritenour, Steve Gadd or Dave Sandborn to collaborate with him on several iconic albums and lives. Titles include two variations on "Evening Star" from the Wagner's Tannhäuser opera, "La Fille Aux cheveux De Lin" of Claude Debussy, original compositions by Kenji Omura (the stunning "Bamboo Bong"), the killer funk "Noah's Ark" & "Perfidy" by Fukamachi.
