Garra is the anticonformist 'Bossa Soul' album of Marcos including funk grooves and brilliant pop tunes. Garra is the most important album in terms of influences on the contemporary Brazilian music, and probably one of the best MPB album of all the time, a sophisticated blend of various ingredients : Jazz, Bossa Nova & British Rock. Marcos is supported by  Geraldo Vespar, Orlando Silveira & Cesar Camargo Mariano in charge of arrangements, a rhythm section based on brazilian musicians featuring Dom Salvador, Capacete, Robertinho Silva, special guest vocal Marizinha on Black Is Beautiful and additional musicians. Titles includes some Bossa Fusion songs as Com Mais De 30, Ao Amigo Tom & Paz e Futebol (Peace & Soccer), the Soul ballad Black Is Beautiful, the hybrid Garra, the funky Wandal Vidal & the gospel O Cafona. All tracks written by Marcos & Paulo Sérgio Valle except Ao Amigo Tom and Que Bandeira respectively written by Osmar Milito & Mariozinho Rocha. Recorded at Odeon studios in Rio De Janeiro.
