Obscure soul jazz record released on the Concert Hall label by French pianist Jean Musy featuring the renowned Hammond B3 organ star. Jean Musy was arranger, bandleader and composer for various French "Variété" singers such as violonist Catherine Lara and in particular Joe Dassin for who, he was in charge of arrangements and orchestrations on the famous song "Champs Elysées", recorded in 1969. As a sideman, he evolved in the Nino Ferrer band during the sixties and collaborated to over 200 movies soundtracks. "Tribute To Ray Charles" showcases the organ including killer funk variations to the heavy groove of most popular success recorded by Ray Charles among "I've Got A Woman", "Unchain My Heart" or "Georgia On My Mind".
