George Benson - The Other Side of Abbey Road

George Benson revisits some iconic cover songs from The Beatles directory, performed in tribute to their last testimony, the Abbey Road album. The Other Side of Abbey Road was arranged & directed by Don Sebesky, produced by Creed Taylor and recorded at studio Rudy Van Gelder, announcing the future "straight ahead" direction taken by the CTI productions during the 70's decade. George Benson is surrounded by a golden sextet featuring Herbie Hancock, Bob James, Idris Muhammad, Freddie Hubbard, Hubert Laws, Ron Carter & Ray Barretto, all supported by strings orchestra, and that will be recruited as studio players by Creed Taylor for the next CTI recordings.
