The Jazz Crusaders - Chile Con Soul

Year : 1965
Label : Pacific Jazz
Genre : Latin Jazz
Label : Afro Cuban Jazz

The Jazz Crusaders was originally formed by Joe Sample, Wilton Felder, Nesbert "Stix" Hooper and Wayne Henderson. Later joined by Larry Carlton in 1971, they take a new route adopting Jazz Funk style and rename the band as The Crusaders. Chile Con Soul is their ninth album recorded for Pacific Jazz, including a nice selection of eight latin grooves played in the pure Afro Cuban style featuring notable players like Hubert Laws, Carlos Vidal or Al McKibbon.
