Rare groove press recording based on first official live performance of the american jazz trumpetist Marvin 'Hannibal' Peterson. Recorded at the Burning Bush (Denton, Texas) in november 1968, The Soulmaster Concert was performed with his first group, with which he started his career as a bandleader. All titles are oriented in the pure Soul Jazz style including the the two great covers Summertime by George Gershwin & I Can't Stand It by James Brown.
